Kichanga Lodge is located on the south east coast of Zanzibar at the end of the Michamvi peninsula in a spectacular position on the crest of a hill overlooking a magnificent private white sandy beach in a cove protected by oral headlands. The lodge is in perfect harmony with the natural environment and provides a peaceful and quiet holiday atmosphere far from the crowds and other resorts.
The resort comprises of 23 individual bungalows and villas- 6 Garden view bungalows, 12 Ocean view bungalows and 5 Ocean view villas, well spaced in the tropical gardens to ensure peace and privacy. All are under Makuti thatched roof and have large wooden verandas. The Villas have a mezzanine level with 2 single beds offering a good family option.
The hotel brags an open sided restaurant with uninterrupted views of the beach and ocean featuring local dishes as well as international cuisine. Romantic dinners can be arranged upon request on the rooftop terrace. A small grill (maximum 4 guests) is available next to the beach bar for dining under the stars.
Due to its hillside location and the steps down to the beach, Kichanga is not recommended for guests whose mobility is limited.
