Enjoy a great day out on a traditional Zanzibar dhow enjoying the beautiful reefs around the northern tip of the island. Leaving from La Gemma beach at 8.30 in the morning we sail by dhow to Kendwa, depending on wind conditions and tide. Halfway there we will stop around the Kendwa reefs for some snorkelling, before heading on to the reefs surrounding Tumbatu Island.
Once the reigning capital of Zanzibar- ‘the Kingdom of the Sultan’- Tumbatu is inhabited by the Watumbatu people who speak their own dialect of Swahili and claim to be descendants of the Shirazi.
